Learn why St. Louis is the soccer capital of the United States from Dave Lange, author of “Soccer Made in St. Louis: A History of the Game in America’s First Soccer Capital,” from Reedy Press. Great teams and players from the Metro East will be emphasized. Special guest will be Ed Huneke, men’s soccer coach at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville for 22 years, an SIUE player under U.S. Soccer Hall of Fame coach and administrator Bob Guelker, and a member of the SIUE Hall of Fame. Ed currently serves as Match Director for Major League Soccer. Book sales and signing will follow the presentation. This event is free and open to the public.
