Florissant Valley Community College loses in the NJCAA final, 2–1, to Mercer County of Trenton, N.J., in Garden City, N.Y. The loss ends a 29-game winning streak over two seasons for the defending NJCAA champions. Mike Lowrey scores Flo Valley’s only goal. With the score tied, the winner comes from Mercer’s Dan Knox on a breakaway. Mercer’s victory caps a 15-0-1 season. The Norsemen finish 14-1.
