The University of Missouri-St. Louis is ranked No. 1 in the nation for the first time in the Rivermen’s history. Off to a 4-0 start, UMSL climbs to the top of the NCAA Division II rankings. The Rivermen will finish the season with a 13-6-0 record. Senior Tim Murphy will be named an NCAA Division II All-American. The Rivermen will reach the semifinals of the NCAA Division II national tournament for the third time in their history, but will lose, 3-1, to Southern Connecticut State. UMSL previously lost in the 1978 semifinals and won the 1973 championship.
